Employee Spotlight: Jakub Izydorczyk, Business Development Manager

Jakub’s “people-first” professional philosophy was forged in some of the world’s most high-pressure environments. With a background that spans international diplomacy at the embassy level, big pharma and finance, he brings a sophisticated level of tact and strategic negotiation to every partnership. A few years ago, Jakub decided to leave those traditional paths behind to follow a lifelong passion, pivoting into the game development industry he truly loves.
Since making the leap, Jakub has become versatile and well integrated into the European scene. During his tenure at Reikon Games, he was a driving member of the team behind METAL EDEN and a key steward for the RUINER franchise. His impact at Reikon was 360-degree; bridging the gap between business development and marketing while remaining deeply embedded in the development process. This experience now allows him to advocate for developers with the authentic insight of someone who has been in the trenches.
Based in Poland, Jakub is a key part of DDM’s expansion. He is broadening the agency’s European footprint, providing DDM with direct exposure to important territories and to the world-class talent emerging from the Polish development scene. His mission is to connect ambitious European creators with the global strategic muscle they need to scale.
When he isn’t scouting the next big breakout title, Jakub is likely deep in an ARPG or tracking the latest shifts in the esports landscape. A former devotee of high fantasy, he has recently traded his swords for starships, shifting his literary focus toward hard sci-fi. In the kitchen, Jakub is a dedicated home chef who thrives on the heat of a real stove—though he remains famously unswayed by the charm of cooking simulators. To Jakub, the best games require deep systems, and the best food requires a real flame.
